!Birthdate: Larkin's diary. Copy in possession of Gladys (Chrisman) Porter and Lonnie D. Chrisman. Original diary is believed to have passed down through a daughter of Abraham named something like "Tessie". Says: "Monroe Larkins was Born January the 4th 1818". Also lists children.
!Marriage(1): Larkins bible: "Monroe Larkins and Elizabeth V Glenn was Marryed Aprile the 15th AD 1841"
!Marriage(2): Clackamas Co., OR, marriage index: "Larkin, Monroe [to] Williams, Grace, Sept. 19, 1874, pg. 244" [Copy of index sent to me by Sharon Larkins in Feb 1996]
!Death: Larkins bible (hard to read on my copy): "Monroe Larkins died April the 10th 1898 after 12 oclock in the Night."
Note: It is likely that one of his daughters married a Sportsman and had a son Karl Sportsman. My grandpa Lyle vaguely remembers a cousin of his mother by that name. Also, he remembers a Glenn Larkins of some relation to him. Glenn was probably born about 1900, and was around when my grandpa was 18 or 19, but since about that time, my grandpa doesn't know what became of him. [Note: See Glenn, son of Abraham, gr.son of Monroe Larkins].
!Burial: Michelle Brubaker found the tombstones of "Monroe Larkins Jan 4, 1818 - Apr 10, 1898" and Elizabeth V. Larkins near the back of her ranch. The stones are broken.
