Notes

Parentage for James Gore I has apparently not yet been established. A Sir Paul Gore was sent from Ireland or England by Queen Elizaebth to start a colony similar to Jamestown. Some believe that James Gore I was a grandson of this original pioneer. http://linda_walker999.tripod.com/aqwg85.htm believes his father was John Goar, b. 1638 in Middlesex Co., Virginia, d. 1674 Lancaster Co., Va., who was then the son of Paul Gore, b. c1600 in Donegal Co., Ireland, d. c1680 Manor Gore, Donegal Co., Ireland. The ancestry from there is extended back to 1495.
