!Will: Dated Oct 1626, proved at Litchfield, CT, Oct 1627. Estate inventoried at 275-17-2. Exec eldest son John.
BIRTH: Parentage was taken from http://www.bankert.org/genealogy-reports/newengland/ancec012.htm, where it is stated that his parentage is circumstantial, but his grand-parentage is solid. In other words, he is definately a grandson of John Bancroft who died in 1557, probably (but not certainly) via son Ralph. It is known that Thomas is not a son of William or Thomas (Ralph's brothers), and the remaining other brother, whose name is unknown, probably died young.
