10 Sep 1687: Jan Pietersen Mackelyck and Henricka Strockells are mentioned in a Kings County deed dated 10 Sept 1687 [NY Gen & Bio Rec 48:112], and they held 2 mortgages dated 30 Jul 1693 & 3 May 1698 [ibid 357].
By 1696, they had moved back to Staten Island.

!Will #1: Dated 4 Sep 1682 [B. Fernow, "Calendar of Albany Wills, p.444 f., no 1966; Albany Notarial Papers 2:404]. Not probated. Jan Pietersen was sick in bed at the house of his brother Pieter Pietersen in Albany, and fearing he would die, wrote his will. Witnessed by the commissary Cornelis Van Dyck and Harman van Gansevoort, then carried off by notary Adriaen van Ilpendam and recorded. However, Jan recovered & lived another 36 years. States that he was born in Amsterdam, that his wife Stintje was born at Ootmars and is living at Kil van Kol near Pa(l)mars Mills (i.e., on Staten Island) and that they have children (unnamed).
