Oregon, lived same place in 1935. -------------------- !Obituary: Silverton Appeal-Tribune, May 24, 1940, page 4: JOHN WESLEY HAINES John Wesley Haines was buried Monday afternoon in the Silverton cemetery, from Larson & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Zook of the First Christian church, was the minister. Mr. Haines, 84, died early Saturday morning at his home on Jersey street. He was born Feb. 27, 1856, near Springfield, Ill., and had resided in Silverton for 30 years. Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth, five daughters, Mrs. Abe Kennedy and Mrs. William Bailey of Silverton, Mrs. Humbert of North Bend, Mrs. Frank Rappe of Hubbard, and Mrs. Gilbert Glover of Oregon City; ten grandchildren, two great grand-children, and one foster son.
