That she was the wife of John Holmes is inferred from her record of death in [Mayf.Des. 16:235] as "Mrs. Sarah Holmes". It is not known whether they married in Plymouth, or whether they immigrated together. MacKenzie, "Colonial Families", gives a child Thomas born in England, and if John Holmes is the John, son of Thomas Holmes of Colchester whose will mentions grandson Thomas, son of John, then this would indicate that a marriage in England is more likely.
