Notes

She was allegedly captured during the French War while traveling on a fishing boat from Truro to Boston at the age of 18. A great storm carried them to the Isle of Sable where they were shipwrecked for the entire winter. In the spring the men were made prisoners and Elizabeth was resumed, taken to Halifax, and thence to Truro. !Birth-Marriage-Parentage-Children: Mayflower Families, Stephen Hopkins Volume, page 232.
