In March 2005, Aunt Vera forwarded me a family tree she had received from Jana Knecktova of Chalupicha 689, Praha 4-14200, Czech Republic, who is a great great granddaughter of Jan Lips̆ and Marie Gromann. Jana's tree identified Marie Gromann and John Lips̆, as well as Marie's parents. With Jan Jips̆, her tree lists locations Krejcí, Ctinovec, and Roudnice. For Marie, it identifies her birthplace as Rades̆ín.
Teri K. Thorpe <thorpetk@adata.com> visited the archives in Prague, and looked up land records for Ctineves. She found a Seznam (list) for Ctineves in 1857 and shared the list with me in Sep 2002. On this list appear:
#32: Jan Libsch, house number 17
#33: Antonin Lipa, house number 1.
It appears that #32 is Jan Lips̆ (note that the pronunciation of Lips̆ and Libsch is virtually identical). Perhaps (this is just a conjecture), Antonin Lipa is Jan's father (?).
