!Will: No date, presented 13 Oct 1724. The original document is damaged, signed by a mark. Reads: "To my two eldest sons Thomas and Peter [?]. Sarah West my wife shall enjoy all of my moveable estate of cattle for her subsistence and for the bringing up of children. Said wife is to enjoy the use of my dwelling house with my son Peter during her widowhood. Should my said wife marry again then Peter after he attains to the age of twenty he shall have and enjoy my said home to himself and his heirs forever. I give my eldest daughter Susannah and daughters Sarah and Mary [?] shillings in current money of this colony when they attain the age of eighteen years of age or the day they marry." ... "Sam Fones one of ye witnesses to the above written will of Francis West appeared before ye council of North Kingston the 13th Day of October 1724. He said he saw Francis West sign, seal and declare the above written instrument as his will and testament. He saw John Fones and Margaret Fones sign as witnesses at the same time. John Fones and Margaret Fones also declared the signing looked like their hands butt they forgot it." The will was allowed on 10 Nov 1724. Inventory 27 Oct 1724 by William Spencer, John Vaughan, and Samual Casey and sworm by all three on 10 Nov 1724.
