Notes

"49 Abraham(7) Decker, b. 30 Aug 1765, d. 16 Nov 1852; m. Mary, dau. of Capt. David Alston, British officer in Revolution. Abraham resided on a farm about 1 1/2 miles from Short Neck, later named New Springville, S.I. The Decker homestead consisted of a large, square stone house which was built upon a slight eminence above the surrounding hills and which was reputedly part of the original grand to Johannes(3) de Decker. The Deckers maintained a number of fishing sloops which carried on a lucrative oyster trade in the fall and winter months when the farm work was slack.
Among the issue of Abraham Decker and Mary Alston were the following:... (Oliver,Elizabeth Alston,David Alston,Jacob...)
