Or possibly born in Scotland. His origins are unknown. As a clue, a Richard Strawhen witnessed a marriage of Joseph Lupton to Mercy Twniing at Middletown Monthly Meetnig on 10 7th mo 1713. Lancelot was a witness to the marriage of William Buckman and Esther Penquite 27 9th mo 1716. No further records are known -- no known land records and no will. He died intestate, administration granted to widow in Bucks Co. on 10 Jun 1720. Thomas Baynes signed her bond with her. Inventory taken 8 4th mo 1720 by John Wildman and Thmoas Thwailes and came to L34/16/6. One unusual item was a desk, indicating he may have been literate.
