Notes
He came to New England in 1634 in the company of his brother-in-law, Major Simon Willard. In 1635, he was one of the first settlers of Cambridge. He moved quite frequently, being in Concord, Duxbury, Scituate, Barnstable, and Groton. Dolar was a carpenter and a master builder; this is probably why he was moving so much, living where his trade provided the employment.
In his will, Dolar left "to my son-in-law, Lewis, ... and to my daughter, Mary, his wife..." [B.L.Williams p.11]
