Notes
!Parentage: Maine Families 1790, Vol. 1, pg. 256. Confirmed also by Snow Genealogy. Sent to me 11/5/1994 by BobPSmith@aol.com.
!Death: Maine Families 1790, Vol. 1, pg. 256; Snow Genealogy.
Although the Snow genealogy didn't seem to mention it, she may have been the "Mrs. Betsey Snow" who remarried to John Gould of Gorham and Hampden and had Allen, John, Hannah, Lucy, Jabez, and an infant with him. This is taken from History of Penobscot Co., p. 375. The son Jabez was born 7 Apr 1806.
He married Paulina Walker, dau. Aaron Walker, and had Laura, Lucy, Amasa (to Calif.), Robert (to Wash.), Elizabeth, Charlotte, John. L.Asbury, David, Clara & Dora. The husband, John Gould, died in 1875, and his wife Mrs. Betsey (---)(Snow)Gould died many years before that (again, which is consistent with the known death date for Edward's wife). This needs to be researched further.
!Census (1800): Widow Snow 3 Males, 4 females, "C" [NEHGR 105:278]. ibid names her from Cape Cod.

OLD NOTES (Before Solved):
Her parentage is not yet solved. Possibilities include: 1.Elizabeth Mirick, dau. Thomas and Hannah (Hopkins) Merrick, b. 19 Sep 1742. 2.Elizabeth Merrick, bp. 3 Jun 1753 in Brewster, dau. Thomas and Ruth
(Godfrey)(Gould) Merrick.
There are the following two marriage records:
i.Edward Snow and Betty Myrick, both of Eastham, 18 Deb 1768 (MD 32:62)
ii.Solomon Lewis and Elezabeth Myrick both of Eastham, 24 Nov 1763 (MD 32:63)
Robert L. Ward (rlward@sirius.alpha.ncsc.mil) reports that the Elizabeth who married Solomon Lewis was born about 1742 in Boston, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (OSBORN) MERRICK. He supplied me with the second possibility above also, and confirmed that the first is indeed a possibility. (Confirmed by Mayflower Families 6:417)
