BIOGRAPHY: Leon attended Scio High School in the small town of Scio, Oregon, where he was one of only eight boys in his class . After his graduation and marriage, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 through 1968, where he served as lead reactor operator aboard the U.S.S. Pollock fast attack nuclear powered submarine. In 1972, he completed a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University, and in 1978 a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Santa Clara. From 1972 until around 1990 he worked as an Electrical Engineer and program manager at E.S.L., Inc., in Sunnyvale. Around 1990, he retired from this career and since then has spent much of his time trading stocks and options, playing raquetball and enjoying trips in his R.V.
